U-M Hospitals and Health Care Finance Data Mart System Project

Project Description

The U-M Hospitals and Health Centers (UMMHC) Finance Data Mart is a web based analysis and reporting tool which uses Oracle BI Suite – Enterprise Edition. The suite is composed of Oracle Business Intelligence Interactive Dashboards and Oracle Business Intelligence Answers components.

Oracle Business Intelligence Interactive Dashboards provides users with prebuilt user-friendly reports that can be printed or downloaded to excel for further analysis.

Oracle BI Answers provides users with adhoc query and analysis capability.

Project Purpose, Scope, & Deliverables

• To provide historical, current, and predictive views of Hospital & Health Centers operations.
• To help assess the current state of business using Key Performance Indicators.
• To provide the ability to make more informed decisions.
• Provides visual presentation of performance measures and trends.
• Allows users to share insights quickly through Web-based interactive reports.
• Provides data on Patient Statistics, Ambulatory Care Activity, Cost Accounting, Charges & Usage and  more.

Business Need

A “one-stop-shop” for all Hospital HR & Financial, Patient Statistical and other Hospital related data.
