Prediction Markets are an inexpensive, but reliable, replacement to traditional customer surveys and pooled expert opinion. Structured as betting exchanges, this market mechanism gives a quick read of an organization's situation at any given time. Leading companies are introducing the market-based BI systems to help with organizational decision-making.
Matthew Comstock and Tony Tsai presented:
- Prediction markets from a theoretical and practical perspective.
- Lessons learned from the U-M Health System pilot of markets dealing with operational performance.
