New! BI Career Development Web Tool

We are pleased to announce important news regarding the career path of Business Intelligence (BI) professionals at the University of Michigan.

Launching this week, the BI Career web page is a new resource for U-M professionals and managers looking to grow expertise in the collection, structuring, analyzing, and leveraging of data in their job. The site offers a variety of features, including:

  • Inventory of professional development and training opportunities
  • Self assessment to evaluate strengths and weaknesses
  • Compare your BI-related skills set to other positions on campus
  • Manager section with best hiring guidelines, interview questions, and ways to develop BI performance in employees

Four new BI market titles will also be added to the classification system on July 1. HR staff who are interested in learning more about these new opportunities are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, July 20 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the Human Resources Development office.
